what is scareware

Scareware is a malicious virus that forces the customers to buy the fake antivirus, even your desktop are safe. The fake antivirus is usually unsafe & it can harmful for your PC. When you are browsing any website  suddenly a page pop up and it says that your PC/ Mobile is unsafe and it needs the antivirus, then it says to buy the antivirus to protect your device. Note that these programs are malware and may install more malware. This Scareware contain also Scam software that can be a risk for your all type of accounts (Social Media, Payment or Bank account)  which are logged in your devices.

Some websites pop up with the windows or banners with the text like,” Your computer may be infected with harmful spyware programs, immediate removal is required, to continue to click ‘Yes’”, This  kind of link also says that “You have a risk of personal life, by clicking this link you can get a one-stop solution”, Be aware of this kind of link it can be Scareware.

How To Identify That  Your PC is Infected By Scareware:-

·  Your computer runs much slower than the usual.

·   When you try to browse the internet to valid anti-virus websites, it does not allow you to browse.

·  You can see lots of unwanted pop-ups contains lots of false or misleading alerts like the “Your PC is in risk”.

Some people ask how to prevent this or how to remove this virus, so removal of this virus is not easy because this takes full control of your PC. Most of the antivirus released nowadays is advance in the protection of PCs so any virus or malicious websites are blocked automatically. In windows 10, the security system is so upgraded that it can prevent the Scareware.

To prevent scareware there are some basic things to do yourself, the basic preventive measures are described below:-

·  Use Ad Blockers in your browser.

·  Avoid pop-ups in your browser which was visible.

·  Wait & think, suddenly no browser can not detect the virus or malware, it is not possible to find out malware by a browser. You need to install separately an anti-virus which was paid when you install this. A trusted anti-virus takes daily updates because its servers updated with new protection version. Ask an expert when you buy the perfect antivirus for your PC to get rid of malware.

·  Some pop-ups are hard to close and it is designed to trick you into accidentally starting the download. It is best to close your browser, if the pop-up ads do not allow you to close the browser, Windows users can press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to shut down all things, Mac users can apply Command+Option+Esc  to open the force quit applications window. If you can not close the browser by doing this, do a hard shut down of your computer.

·  Keep updated your browser, some times it was annoying to update but do this, updates can prevent you from pop up ads.

·  Install only Legitimate Anti-Viruses.
